Effective July 16, 2026
Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how Crest Deployment Systems LLC, operating as Crest Engines ("Crest"), handles personal information in its business software. Crest is designed to measure public business information, not private consumer conversations or consequential decisions about people.
Information we collect
- Account data: email address, Google-provided name and avatar, account identifiers, workspace role, and authentication records.
- Business data: a submitted public domain, business facts you confirm, public pages, questions, model observations, citations, competitors, findings, and actions.
- Service use: sign-in, onboarding, scan, assistant, export, preference, and account-rights events needed to operate and secure the service.
- Attribution: allowlisted campaign fields such as source, medium, and campaign. Crest does not save arbitrary query strings in attribution records.
- Communications: support messages and an optional product-email preference.
How we use information
Crest uses information to authenticate users, provide and meter the service, produce customer-requested measurements and analysis, secure and troubleshoot the product, understand adoption, communicate about the account, comply with law, and improve Crest. Required service telemetry is separate from optional product email. Turning off product email does not disable account or security notices.
AI and service providers
Crest uses processors for infrastructure, authentication, AI inference, public search, email, and support. A measurement may send a business name, public facts, question, and limited supporting context to an AI or search provider. Crest does not intentionally send private consumer conversations for public-business measurement. Provider handling is governed by Crest's configuration and provider terms. Crest does not sell personal information or customer confidential data.
Google sign-in
Google sign-in gives Crest basic account identity needed to create a session. Crest does not request offline Google access or access Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or a Google Business Profile merely because you sign in. A future integration will request and display its own limited scopes before access is granted.
Legal bases and choices
Depending on location, Crest processes account and service data to perform the contract, protect legitimate business and security interests, comply with law, and honor consent where consent is required. Product email is optional and can be changed in Account settings. Browser and provider controls may offer additional choices.
Retention and deletion
Crest keeps account and customer records while the account is active and as needed for the stated purposes. A deletion request places the account in a visible pending state and is normally processed within 30 days. Crest may retain limited records required for security, fraud prevention, tax, dispute, or legal obligations. Backup copies expire through normal rotation. Public facts may remain available from their original public sources after Crest deletes its copy.
Security
Crest uses managed authentication, encrypted transport, access controls, server-side credentials, tenant-scoped queries, and audit records. No system is perfectly secure. Users should protect their Google or email account and report suspected unauthorized access through the account support channel.
Your rights
Account settings let you download your Crest record, change product-email consent, request deletion, and cancel a pending deletion. Depending on residence, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a portable copy of personal information and to appeal a denied request. Crest will verify the request and respond as required by applicable law. Crest will not discriminate for using a privacy right.
Children and international use
Crest is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. The service is operated from the United States. International transfers may occur where processors operate, subject to legally required safeguards.
Changes and contact
Crest may update this Policy and will post the effective date. Material changes may require a new acknowledgment. Privacy requests can be submitted through Account settings. The responsible company is Crest Deployment Systems LLC, operating as Crest Engines.
